There will be many opportunities along the way to share ideas, exchange tips, and discover what it truly means to be a writer. This is not a “how to get published” course, and it’s not all about grammar. It’s about finding your joy in writing the story only you have living inside you.
Along the way, we’ll use short prompts, guided exercises, and open discussion to help you experiment without pressure. Some days you might play with a completely new voice or point of view; other days you might bring in a scene from your work-in-progress and see how it lands with others. You’ll get gentle, practical feedback rather than harsh critique, and you’ll be encouraged to take risks, try strange ideas, and follow the threads that truly excite you. The goal is for you to leave each session feeling more curious, more confident, and a little more in love with your own writing process.
I have been scribbling for over 30 years, writing stories as a child, growing into a young poet who was published in high school, and an adult who is currently writing a 7 part novel series based on a family of book thieves, as well as ongoing poetry. I am slowly working my way through my Bachelor of Education and run a small tutoring business where I encourage my students to write, explore, and trust their own creative voice.
