By the end of this course, students will be able to navigate easily through "Greetings & Salutations" and "Introducing Yourself."
Unit 1: Greetings and Salutations / Introducing Yourself
Students will be able to:
Use common English greetings appropriately in formal and informal situations.
Greet people based on the time of day (morning, afternoon, and evening).
State their name clearly and say where they are from.
Share basic personal information: age; occupation; hobbies.
Discuss likes and dislikes.
Ask another person simple introductory questions.
Carry on a brief introductory conversation using complete sentences.
About your instructor, Nafiysah:
I graduated in May 2013 with Honors from the Queens College (CUNY) Applied Linguistics program, as a TESOL major (otherwise known as English as a Second Language). As an ESL educator, I am highly qualified to administer the grammatical & semantic structure of the English Language from an elementary to high school level. I specialize in educating immigrant children and adolescents, as well as adult citizens, whose mother tongue was other than English. As certified, I have taught all core subjects for grades pre-K to 12th over my 12 years as an educator.
