The reason I am the ideal instructor is because I am a Board Certified Physician Nutrition specialist with over 40 years experience in the nutritional field. I was the Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition from 1992-2005 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center (JSUMC) in Neptune, NJ. I trained in Nutrition at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada and was awarded a prize for my research on Whey protein improving gastric emptying in Children.
Subsequently I did a training fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
Through out my career I received awards such as the Robert Wood Johnson Teaching award for educating their medical students who rotated at JSUMC. I supervised and educated residents, interns, nurses and other healthcare providers.
I have lectured extensively including lectures to the communities interested in nutrition.
As a former graduate student in the Dale Carnegie course for public speaking, I am an effective communicator. My style is informative, and stresses participation by whoever the audience is. For example, last week I gave a lecture on senior nutrition at Waterstone on the Cleveland Circle in Chestnut Hill Massachussets and the residents participated throughout the 1 hour presentation.
